Please note that you will need to arrive a day early (Saturday Afternoon) in order to make the floatplane connection to the Sea Otter Lodge early next morning (Sunday morning at 7 am.) So please book your commercial flight to Kechikan, Alaska, accordingly.
After your stay with us, you will return to Ketchikan from our lodge early Friday morning around 7:30 am. This will allow you to fly out of the Ketchikan airport later that day if you so choose.
Alaskan Airlines have direct flights to Kechikan, Alaska.
American Airlines stops in Seattle and will connect you to Ketchikan from
most major cities in the continental U.S.
Other airlines may add new routes from time to time, so please check for availability.
NOTE:
Arrive in Seattle on airline of your choice, but from Seattle you will fly on Alaskan Airlines.

Contact The Alaska Marine Highway for a ferry ride to Ketchikan
from cities such as Bellingham (Washington State), or Prince Rupert (British Columbia, Canada) for ferry services
within Alaska's Inside Passages. It is a good way to see scenary without the expense of a cruise ship.
There may be cross-gulf ferry services available from Valdez ( 309 miles east of Anchorage) to Ketchikan area.
Most ferry rides require an advanced reservation - so please plan your trip carefully and well ahead of time.

Ketchikan has a variety of hotels, motels, bed and breakfast type of lodging.
See Kechikan Visitors Bureau and book a room for the night that you fly into Ketchikan.
Your chartered floatplane will be departing early the next morning to take you to the
Sea Otter Lodge.

Since the chartered floatplane is the only method of transportation to our lodge,
please do not miss this connection. We cannot be responsible for missed flights, and it may not be possible for you to get another chartered flight.

- You need to arrive in Ketchikan the night before your floatplane connection (early Friday afternoon). The floatplane connection cannot be missed for the reason noted above.
- Ketchikan Airport is on an island so you need to take a ferry to Ketchikan, where the floatplane dock is located.
Ask directions at airport for the ferry ( within walking distance -- approximately 300 yards.) The hours of ferry operation is from 5:45am to 9:30 pm.
- Be sure to ask your hotel with regard to your transporation from ferry to the hotel.

The state of Alaska Department of Fish and Game
licenses can be purchased online.

If fishing king salmon, it requires a special stamp in addition to regular fishing license.
If you intend to fish, licenses are also available from the above link.
The licenses are mailed via U.S. Postal Services and may take several weeks for delivery.
If you need a license at the last minute,
please purchase them at Tongass Trading Store or at Wal-Mart once you are in Ketchikan.

- Final payment is due 60 days before your arrival.
- Your deposit is fully refunded for cancellation made 120 days prior to your arrival.
- Cancellation within 30 days of your arrival date will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee.
- No refund for early/late arrivals or departures.
Liability:
Sea Otter Lodge will not be responsible or liable for any loss,
damage, or injury to guests or personal properties, nor for any cancellation expenses or delays
incurred as a result of weather, transportation, or act of God.
Guests are also responsible for disclosing any special medical, physical, or dietary
conditions.
