Whale's in alaska! "Last summer we were boating across the strait, in that short period of time we saw around 70 whales in groups of 5 or 6. It was simply amazing." Humpbacks are a common sight in Southeast Alaska. They come to Alaska because food is plentiful. They migrate from warm tropical areas. and arrive here in May and stay through October. Humpback's feed on tiny shrimp-like creatures and small fish in these nutrient rich waters. They consume about a ton of food each day when they are eating. They are seasonal feeders. Watching humpback whales is one of nature's most amazing spectacles. We have so much to offer -- bring your camera to capture the wonders of Alaska.. Not only do we have great fishing.........
